The position of Vice President - HSSEQ


    Role Summary

  • Providing leadership to the Corporate HSSEQ Department and develop a robust HSSEQ strategy and providing direction and guidance to all business units and functions in the strategy deployment across the organization. This role also act as an advisor to the Management team in the development of HSSEQ strategies, policies, processes, systems and behaviours as well as monitor its performance through established KPIs. Represent BAB Group and proactively build relationships with our external customers to ensure we are a credible business as regards to the Management of HSSEQ.

    Principal Accountabilities

  • Develop and champion the HSSEQ Department Strategies, plans and related activities or programmes and ensure its alignment with the Company’s objectives.
  • Responsible for the HSSEQ budget and exercising the financial authority at the level established by the Company as well as providing leadership in the effectiveness and professional development of personnel in Corporate HSSEQ Department.
  • Provide interpretation and guidance for compliance to the statutory requirements and ensuring its alignment to Company’s activities and objectives.
  • Evaluating HSE Risks associated with projects and operational phases of the activities and reporting to the Management team and Board of Directors effective strategies for reducing risks to ALARP, including those requiring changes to the operating culture.
  • Assuring the Corporate HSSEQ Management System (MS), including project and operational quality plans and assurance activities are implemented effectively by the employees and contractors.
  • Oversee and review Emergency Response Plan and Crisis Management related to the Company’s asset and employees as well as developing related manuals and execution activities with relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide monthly reporting to the Management team and Board of Directors, the HSSEQ performance across BAB’s Group and consistently monitoring the implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
  • Reviewing the current HSSEQ training programmes together with the Business Units for employees and contractor as well as providing necessary training as required to ensure the employees has the required competencies.
  • Develop HSSEQ communication strategy internally and externally to maximize HSSEQ performance and business competitiveness.


    Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering, science or equivalent
  • Management qualification – Master degree or equivalent is preferred
  • Chartered Safety Professional
  • Minimum 15 years’ oil and gas and/or marine services HSSEQ experience
  • At least with 5 years’ experience in managing a Corporate or BU HSSEQ function
  • Recognized leader in HSSEQ globally through participation in industry bodies, standards development or conference presentations.
  • Strong Knowledge of HSSEQ MS Certification Processes – ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 and ISO 9001
  • Strong knowledge in asset integrity, technical safety and safety case development are an added advantage.
  • Strong ability to accomplish established objectives within a diverse corporate environment with multiple and conflicting priorities.
